His meteoric rise in the 1960s advertising world is best memorialized by his design for Smirnoff vodka in which an Egyptian pyramid appears inverted inside a martini glass. His best-known work is arguably “Marilyn Monroe: The Last Sitting”, a collection of 2,500 photographs of Marilyn taken for Vogue over a three-day period six weeks before her death.
