Best known for his amusing and bizarre cartoons and textual visuals, David Shrigley’s (British, 1968) work continually balances the poignant and the humorous. His sketched illustrations tackle both contemporary issues and tongue-in-cheek narratives with distinctly uneven lines and flat compositions. It has been featured weekly in the ‘Guardian Weekend’ magazine since 2005, and in numerous international exhibitions. His work currently resides within the collections of the Tate and the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
