Louise Bourgeois

Louise Bourgeois (French-American, 1911-2010) was a renowned sculptor and artist. A significant contributor to modern and contemporary art, she is best known for her large spider sculptures, which earned her the nickname “Spider Woman.” Her work can be found in countless public institutions including MoMA, New York; the Tate, London; and the Guggenheim, New York.
