Nigel Cooke (British, b. 1973) explores the concepts of individual consciousness, art history and consumer culture with the natural world in a series of unique and complex, fantastical paintings. These works usually take their form in scenes of urban decay which reference both the high and low cultural touchstones of painting. He received his degree from Nottingham Trent University, his MA from Royal College of Art and his Ph. D. from Goldsmith’s College.
