Alec Monopoly is an unidentified graffiti artist. His work is created under the name “Monopoly Man” taken from the iconic board game character. In an interview with Complex Magazine, the artist said that Bernie Madoff had been the inspiration for his artistic character due to him being iconic figure during moments of economic unrest. He also said in the same interview, “I try to be as positive as I can about what I put out there and I try to do it with imagery everyone can identify with.”
