"I’m interested in capturing the breadth of a land or seascape. The visual field of the human eye spans approximately 120 degrees of arc. Even though peripheral vision deteriorates at the extremity, as we move our center of vision to a new area of interest, our field of view remains in focus.
The camera, following the eye of the photographer, documents the field of view across a chosen expanse of space. Later the series of single photographs is assembled to create a bigger picture.
In my Surfing Series the element of time is introduced as I follow a surfer(s) across a wave."
