Carroll Dunham (American, b. 1949) is best known for his conceptual approach to painting and drawing. Exploring the relationship between abstraction and figuration, his works remain hard to categorize, branching into surrealism, graffiti, and even pop cartoons. He has exhibited at Galerie Eva Presenhuber, Gladstone Gallery, and Blum & Poe, and won the Skowhegan Medal for Distinction in Painting in 2004.
