David Gwinnutt has been an artist and photographer since the early 1980s. In the time since, he has witnessed London “becoming the leading force in the Arts,” a global evolution in which his works have played a role, especially in celebrating gay culture. Gwinnutt shot “McQueen’s Letterbox,” a pigment print on archival cotton rag, at the designer’s home a few days after his death. It features a dying pink rose with the “most exquisite quality to it,” “full of meaning.”
