About De Rosa

In 1953, at the tender age of 18, the Lombard-born Ugo de Rosa established a business producing racing bicycles. By 1973 he was contracted to build frames for the Molteni team, which was captained by Eddy Merckx. Merckx later engaged de Rosa as a technical consultant upon founding his own brand. De Rosa’s three sons Danilo, Doriano and Cristiano, joined the company in the late 1980s and continue to run it today.
