Delphine Courtillot (French, b. 1972) works with gouache on paper to create imbalances in discretion and carnality. Her works are often narratives that build themselves as implications of happiness or of nostalgia. All of her discretions are quietly disarming, as she provides a seductiveness and sense of mystery that seems to predict future chaos. She attended the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts as well as the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver.
