Fredrico Uribe (Colombian, b. 1962) is a Colombian artist whose practice explores the recontextualization of generic objects to produce poignant artworks and art objects. Employing material such as shoe laces, pins, and pencils, amongst others, he playfully sorts his works creating an assemblage that is both intricate and unpredictable, with a style evocative of the Old Masters. However, his works also reference deep sentimental values, citing memories drawn from his childhood, to allow his audience to participate in his experience. He currently lives and works in Miami.
