Street artist Kimou Meyer (Swiss, b.1974), who goes by the moniker 'Grotesk', is an artist and graphic designer who works across a variety of media. The artist obtained his undergraduate education in graphic design and communications from L'Ecole de la Cambre in 1999 prior to moving to New York City. Drawing inspiration from street culture, hip hop, and punk, Grotesk's work is characterized by a quirky and playful ethos, grounded in a graphic design aesthetic. Along with his work as a visual artist, Grotesk also co-owns the sports memorabilia and publication company, Doubleday & Cartwright.
