About GT

Named after co-founder Gary Turner, GT was established around 1974 in Santa Ana, California. The company originally focused on BMX models, Turner first developing a BMX bike for his son in response to a lack of lighter designs. In 1996, GT was commissioned to produce a $30,0000 “Superbike” for the US Olympic Team which was later banned for being “too fast”. GT now specializes in mountain bikes.
