Artist and novelist Harland Miller (English, b. 1964) regularly explores the dynamics between images and text within his work. He is best known for his large-scale paintings of reimagined vintage book covers and Penguin classics. Marrying aspects of Pop art, abstraction, and figurative painting with satirical titles, his work is both nostalgic, funny, and jarring. His canvases have been exhibited at Marianne Boesky Gallery, New York; White Cube, London; and the Royal Academy of Art, London.
