Invader (French, b. 1969) is the pseudonym of a street artist best known for his intricate tile mosaics depicting images drawn from popular culture, namely 8-bit video games. Invader’s works have appeared worldwide, in cities as diverse as Paris, Mombasa, Bangkok, and Miami, with public commissions appearing in major cities in Japan, South Korea, and the United States, as well as other countries. In recent years, Invader has begun to create works using Rubik’s Cubes, which he manipulates and molds into colorful, mosaic-like works, in addition to prints, posters, and preassembled 'Invasion Kits.'
