Javier Calleja (Spanish, b. 1971) is a contemporary figurative painter whose animated style relies heavily on distortion. He is best known for his child-like figures with large, disproportioned eyes and simple, graphic tees. His work has been exhibited at Galerie Zink, Germany; Nanzuka Gallery, Tokyo; and Castor Gallery, New York, among others.
