May All the Tiny Black Insects Crawling on the Peonies be my Sons and Daughters in Future Lives: from edition of 70

Towing the line between color, language, and poetry, John Giorno creates works which feel disjointed, combining poetic language with edgy, unexpected refrains. His works include a range of energetic colors contrasted with cynical yet flowery statements. Giorno’s background is rooted in poetry which comes through in the present two works. His bright colors paired with obscurely worded messages provoke further examination and rumination on the part of the viewer.
