Kalup Linzy (American, b. 1977) is a video and performance artist who graduated from the MFA program at the University of South Florida in 2003. He also studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, received the 2005 Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Grant, and was named a Guggenheim Fellow in 2007. He is most well known for his video vignettes that draw on soap operas in order to comment upon race, class, and sexual identity.
