About Kestrel

Kestrel was founded in 1986 by a group of Trek employees. In 1987, the US manufacturer released the world’s first all-carbon fiber frame, the Kestrel 4000, designed by Brett Trimble in collaboration with aerospace material experts. This set a precedent for subsequent significant Kestrel innovations in carbon fiber.
