Landon Metz (American, b. 1985) is a contemporary artist known for his large panels inspired by Morris Louis and the desert landscapes of Arizona. By pouring diluted color onto canvas, Metz creates works that are monochromatic, organic, and indicative of “letting go” - a description that references both the release of artistic ego and Metz’s own faith in the procedural application of the paint itself. His works serve as a testament to the longevity of the pictorial tradition, and have been exhibited across North America and Europe.
