Floating upon a sepia gradient background, two columns repeat the letters "LA" in Math Bass' crisp glyphs. Both ambiguous and complex, the warm colored print provides a structured take on the abstract.

An artist who transcends mediums, Math Bass (American, b. 1981) uses her practice to explore how ambiguous images alter the perception of a work. In this respect, she often employs a geometric language of simplified shapes and symbols, which speak to deeper themes of movement and containment. Her work has been exhibited at MoMA PS1, the Hammer Museum, and Overduin & Kite.
