In his series, “The Creative Act,” which debuted at The Delaware Contemporary, Lindeman’s work references Marcel Duchamp’s lecture in Houston at the meeting of the American Federation of the Arts, April 1957 of the same name. The paintings consider the realm of the Internet as a venue for buying, selling and exchanging commodities – calling into question how financial and cultural value is attached to various branches of creative activity.
