Artist Michael Reeder (America, b.1982) grew up in Dallas, Texas under the regular influence of art and culture, initially exposed to the arts through classes taken in his early childhood years. Much of his work is informed by a longstanding interest in street and skate culture, and graffiti art. Reeder’s work often takes the form of paintings and large-scale mural work characterized by vivid color palettes, graphic geometric forms, and realistically rendered human subjects. Identity, both one’s understanding and perception of, is a central theme. Reeder received his BFA from the School of Visual Arts New York and presently resides and works in Los Angeles, California.
