This work is a limited edition print of a known and highly critically acclaimed original from Divertimento, a 15-work series dedicated to classical music. It is executed in the Michael Rogatchi’s unique and trade-mark technique of combining Indian ink and his own special blend of 3-5 different oil pastels, reaching the unique effect of blending very fine elements created in ink with volume-deep elements. Another highly important element is the unique paper on which the originals are done.

Michael works exclusively on a very special Italian cotton paper which is hand-manufactured by a family company operating since the 18th century, which provides additional volume and depths to the works.

Since the early 1990s, Michael Rogatchi has created many different artworks representing Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, both oil paintings and drawings in his own special technique. Mozart is always there, but the images are still unique, keeping Michael's trademarked image the same it its essence and form. The Mozartiana series features more than 25 works of the musician and composer, most of which are in leading museums and notable private collections in New York, Italy, France, UK, Austria and Finland.

“Michael Rogatchi's art is from another planet. His artistic world is a superbly fine one. It is fluid and beautifully elusive. It is exquisite. [...] To 'consume that famous Amadeus by Rogatchi is a rare intellectual pleasure; it is also the invitation for one's own intensified intellectual work.”
