Since Patrick Hughes’s first exhibition in 1961, he has become associated with a technique he calls reverspective, concerned with illusions, perception, and artistic representation. He wants viewers to believe “that a static painting can move of its own accord.” Hughes’s works have been exhibited around the globe. His signed print, “Please, 2019” is one of many that feature rainbows, which to Hughes represent “a solid experience.”
