Description

Paul Chisholm lives between London and his work studio in Amsterdam, and has just completed his Masters in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts.

Chisholm’s practice is informed by popular culture, queer aesthetics, and the social and political world around him, fusing it together with his own experiences in a distinct visual language. In Lost Boys, he explores the juxtaposition between public and private selves and the battle to survive.

Chisholm explains: ‘Lost Boys references those boys both lost to HIV, AIDS, and related suicide deaths and it also points to the "other self " - the self we portray to the world on a daily basis by putting on a brave face in a world that often doesn't have room to allow for these boys to be happy and proud. ‘I feel this work is poetic and relevant. So please get your dosh out of your wallet and bid generously for a charity which is very dear to my heart and saved me with their practical and life saving telephone line.’
