About Paul Insect

Paul Insect (British), who also works under the name “PINS,” creates Pop-inflected, slightly morbid images that combine a detailed, realistic style with colorful absurdist touches. Taking Dada as one of his influences, the artist manipulates icons from pop culture—from cartoon characters to rock stars to Playboy bunnies—collaging them with flat, cartoonish elements of his own design. While his work can be seen on walls around the world, Paul Insect also made a smash in the gallery world, selling out his entire first exhibition, ”Bullion” at the Lazarides Gallery in London to artist Damien Hirst before the show opened to the public.
