Revok (American, b. 1977) alias of Jason Williams, is an American artist closely associated with the street art movement. He draws inspiration from 1960’s and 1970’s album covers, comic books, and skateboards. From an early age he exhibited a predilection towards graffiti culture, as he would frequently sneak from his home at age 13 to draw graffiti in his neighborhood. Recently, he has been the subject of a lawsuit against the city of Los Angeles regarding the criminalization of graffiti art. His work commonly explores a struggle for survival and oppositional sides. He is a member of The Seventh Letter, an acclaimed West Coast artist collective and Mad Society Kings (MSK), a world-renowned graffiti crew. He currently lives and works in Detroit, Michigan.
