Young girls leave an internally displaced persons camp in Darfur to gather firewood for their families in June 2005. For some, the work will take over a day and lead them beyond government checkpoints, which exposes them to rape or other violent attacks.

This lot includes the new to be released book by Lauren Walsh titled “Conversations on Conflict Photography.” The book invites readers to think through these urgent concerns via conversations with award-winning photographers from around the world, as well as leading photo editors and key representatives of major human rights and humanitarian organizations.
