Pastel and Charcoal on archival paper, as shown at the Sag harbor Whaling Museum in the solo exhibition, "Sister Sailors and Sons of Sag Harbor 2015," an exhibition focused on the lives of woman during the whaling era. The Portrait depicts Eliza Griswold Williams, (1826-1885) who made a total of six voyages on board of whaler accompanying her husband Captain Thomas Williams aboard the ship “FLORIDA" bearing three children at sea and surviving two shipwrecks.
