Sharing its title with the centuries-old street in Milan, Italy, the subject at the center of Sam Scott Schiavo’s ‘Corso Sempione’ recalls the style and attitude of Marlon Brando’s character in the 1953 film ‘The Wild Ones’; a story tracing the escapades of a young rebel and his motorcycle gang. The blurred quality of the film photograph gives the piece a vintage and mysterious air, putting a sense of distance between viewer and subject.
