About Sean Mellyn

Sean Mellyn, American, born 1965. In his mixed media Sculptures,Paintings, prints and Drawings, Sean Mellyn sends up Americana, drawing largely from advertising imagery, he presents a twisted and politicized vision of American ideals. Sean Mellyn’s work has been shown in numerous U.S. and international exhibitions and is included in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art (NY) the Whitney Museum of American Art (NY) Houstan Museum of Fine Arts (TX) and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (CA) among many others. He Lives in New York City and works in Brooklyn.
