"This piece was created to illustrate an article I wrote for the Center for Art Law entitled, 'Confessions of an Artist and a Lawyer: Practicing Art Law, One Trial and Painting at a Time.' The Article discusses my decision to work as a painter and a lawyer, and this painting is meant to convey the synergy these two fields create. The rigorous demands of both these areas require me to delve deeper each day into who I am and why I create."
- Stephanie Drawdy

"What do Henri Matisse, Wassily Kandinsky, and Stephanie Drawdy have in common? The three studied law but not all three stuck with both law and art practices. Both a creative and critical thinker, Stephanie Drawdy practices law at Lucy Law firm in the field of construction; products liability; employment claims; contract and financial disputes; unfair trade practices and business disputes; and class actions for the past ten years. She earned degrees in Political Science, Studio Arts, and Law. We have chosen to use this watercolor for the first lot of the auction as a symbol of the many interconnections between art & law."
