Terence Koh (Chinese-Canadian, b. 1977) maintains an extensive practice, ranging from painting and sculpture to photography and performance. Exploring topics with queer, punk, and pornographic sensibilities, Koh has frequently been associated with the niche New Gothic art movement, which emphasizes darkness and horror within pop culture. However, he also has a noted obsession with the color white, using the monochromatic palette to symbolize inner purity. His work has been exhibited across the United States and Europe, including at the Whitney Museum and the Saatchi Gallery.
