Known for his uniquely abstract sculptures made of bronze, mahogany, and stone, Tomonori Toyofuku creates designs from jewelry to public monuments. His sculptures typically include repeated egg-shaped motifs along waving surfaces. The present work depicts the recognizable egg-shape, shown on paper rather than a 3-dimensional sculpture. On paper, the image appears softer, almost as a weaving made of fabric, instead of the hard surface typically seen in his sculptures.
Overall good condition; light staining in the margin on lower left.
