Zhou Chunya (Chinese, b. 1955) is a Chinese painter who currently lives and works in Chengdu, China. He was educated at the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts, an institution that promoted its students to create works in line with socialist propaganda during the cultural revolution, and at the Kassel Academy of Fine Art in Kassel, Germany. In Kassel, the artist experimented with Western techniques, evolving towards a more Abstract Expressionist style.
